FAQ

Everything riders ask us most often.

What is passoPRO?

passoPRO turns your cycling climbs into real competition. Ride selected climbs, earn points, and get ranked on leaderboards without racing.

How does it work?

Connect your Strava account, ride selected climbs, and passoPRO automatically detects your efforts, assigns points, and updates your ranking. No manual action is required.

Do I need Strava to use passoPRO?

Yes. passoPRO relies on Strava to import your rides and detect climbs automatically.

What happens when I connect Strava?

By connecting Strava, you authorize passoPRO to access your activity data (rides, distance, elevation). Your data remains on Strava and you can disconnect at any time.

Do I need to join challenges?

No. Participation is automatic. If you ride a selected climb, you are included in the corresponding challenge.

Which climbs count?

Only selected climbs are included. These are curated, well-known, or iconic cycling climbs. Not every climb is counted.

How are points calculated?

Points are based on the climb, its difficulty, and your performance relative to other riders. The system rewards both effort and consistency.

What are the leaderboards?

passoPRO ranks riders across categories such as Overall, Europe, World, Classics, and Men/Women. Rankings update as you ride.

Is this a race?

Not in the traditional sense. There are no start lines or fixed dates. You compete asynchronously by riding climbs and earning points.

How do you ensure fair competition?

Activities are monitored for authenticity. passoPRO may adjust or remove results that appear inconsistent or manipulated.

What happens if I ride the same climb multiple times?

Multiple efforts may count depending on the challenge. Typically, your best effort or accumulated points are considered.

Can I compete with riders from other countries?

Yes. Rankings are global, allowing you to compete locally, regionally, and worldwide.

Can I leave passoPRO?

Yes. You can disconnect your Strava account or stop using the platform at any time.

Are there rewards?

Yes. Riders can earn digital badges, leaderboard recognition, and potentially physical rewards depending on participation levels.

Is passoPRO affiliated with Strava?

No. passoPRO is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by Strava.

Is passoPRO a Strava alternative?

No. passoPRO is not a substitute for Strava. Think of Strava as your activity tracker and passoPRO as the gamified experience layer that adds challenges, points, iconic climbs, achievements, and a broader sense of progression. Our goal is to make cycling more engaging, rewarding, and holistic — without changing the tools you already love.
